How to Add an Expert Channel

Adding an Expert Channel gives you a space to share focused knowledge with key users or communities.

This article is for Advanced Insights Users.

To add your first Expert Channel:

  1. Navigate to your Announce on Home Inbox
  2. Go to the Expert Channel tab  
  3. Click the “Get Started” button in the center of your screen
  4. Give your Expert Channel a descriptive title
  5. Add a description
  6. Define the target audience
  7. Choose a classification
  8. Update the language
  9. Click the “Done” button in the top right corner of the window

Your Expert Channel will be automatically created, and you can start adding new content.

To Add Additional Expert Channels:

  1. Navigate to your Announce on Home Inbox
  2. Go to the Expert Channel tab  
  3. Click on the Plus Sign Icon  in the top right corner of your inbox
  4. Select “Add Expert Channel”
  5. Add a description
  6. Define the target audience
  7. Choose a classification
  8. Update the language
  9. Click the “Done” button in the top right corner of the window

Your Expert Channel will be automatically created, and you can start adding new content.  

 

Insider Tips: 

  • Only internal experts with special platform permissions can contribute to Expert Channels
  • Up to ten articles will be visible in the Expert Channel on the homepage – any additional articles can be viewed by clicking on “More” at the bottom of the channel  
  • Users cannot hide Expert Channels using their feed selector on the homepage
  • Updates to language settings are only available on platforms where your company has requested this configuration
