Expert Channels host content that appears on your user community’s homepage to ensure they never miss out on important insights or updates.

You have two options for adding a News Post to an Expert Channel: directly from your Expert Channel or from the Expert Channel inbox
To add a News Post from your Expert Channel:

Go to the News app from the left-hand side navigation bar

Switch to the Curate view at the top of the page

Navigate to the Expert Channels tab

Click on the Expert Channel where you want to add content

Click “Add News Post“ in the top right corner of the screen
A new window will pop up where you will be able to add key post details.

Give your post a descriptive title

Add a thumbnail
-
Change the language if needed

Set the publication date
-
Input the text and images for your News Post in the “Body Text” field

Click “Next“ in the bottom right corner of the window
In the next view, you will be able to add an external source, URL, and related attachments, if desired. This step is optional.

Choose the source from the dropdown list, or click “Add New Source” if you cannot find the needed source

Enter a URL to an external source, if desired

Add attachments, if desired

Click “Next“
In this view, you will be able to add Classification Settings. This step is optional.

Select the tags

Click “Next“
In the next view, you can choose where to add your News Post. Your Expert Channel will be selected by default, but you can choose additional places to include this news post.

Select additional Feeds, Channels, or Announcements to add your News post to, if desired

Click “Next“
In this step, you can review your News Post before publishing it.

Click the "Publish" button in the bottom right corner of the window once you are satisfied with the post
The post will be immediately added to your Expert Channel.
To add a News Post from the Expert Channel inbox:

Go to the News app from the left-hand side navigation bar

Switch to the Curate view at the top of the page

Navigate to the Expert Channels tab

Click on the Plus Sign
icon in the top right of the Expert Channels inbox

Select "Add News Post"
A new window will pop up where you will be able to add key post details.

Follow the steps 6-20 from the section above
The post will be immediately added to your Expert Channel.
Insider Tips:

Only internal experts with special platform permissions can add content to Expert Channels

A maximum of five Expert Channels is recommended

Expert Channels can be published to the entire user community or to specific audiences
