How to Add an Expert News Post to an Expert Channel

Expert Channels host content that appears on your user community’s homepage to ensure they never miss out on important insights or updates.

To add content to your Expert Channel(s):

  1. Go to your Announce on Home Inbox
  2. Move to the Expert Channels tab
  3. Find and click on the channel where you want to add content

  1. Click on the Plus Sign Icon kc_plus_sign_icon.png in the top right of your Announce on Home Inbox
  2. Select "Add News Post"

A new window will pop up where you will be able to add key post details.

  1. Give your post a descriptive title
  2. Add a date for the byline
  3. Input the text and images for your news post
  4. Select a source from the External Source dropdown menu or add a new source
  5. Choose the Expert Channel where you want to post your content
  6. If you are publishing to a specific audience, click on Add More Details
  7. Add a country, brand, or group
  8. Click on the "Done" button done in the top right corner of the window

Your Expert News Post will be automatically published on your user community’s homepage

Insider Tips:

  • Only internal experts with special platform permissions can add content to Expert Channels
  • A maximum of five Expert Channels is recommended
  • Expert Channels can be published to the entire user community or to specific audiences
  • Users cannot hide Expert Channels using their feed selector on the homepage
  • Up to ten articles will be visible in the Expert Channel on the homepage – any additional articles can be viewed by clicking on “More” at the bottom of the channel
