How to Add a New Team Member to an Expert Channel

Adding team members to an Expert Channel democratizes moderator responsibilities and ensures that other experts with unique insights and knowledge can post and share within the channel.

To add a team member to an Expert Channel: 

  1. Go to the News app from the left-hand side navigation bar

  2. Switch to the Curate view at the top of the page

  1. Navigate to the Expert Channels tab

  2. Click on the Expert Channel where you want to add a team member

  3. Click on the Gear icon in the top right corner of the page

An Expert Channel settings sidebar will open.

  1. Click on the Edit icon in the top right corner of the sidebar

  2. Navigate to the “Owners” section

  1. Click anywhere in the “Owners” field

  2. Start typing in a username or user group

A list of options will be displayed in the dropdown.

  1. Select one or more users from the dropdown

  2. Click “Done” in the top right corner of the sidebar

The new team member(s) will be immediately added and the selected users will receive an automatic notification that they have been added to the Expert Channel.

 

Insider Tips: 

  • Only internal experts with special platform permissions can add content to Expert Channels

  • All Expert Channel owners will be able to add, edit, and delete Expert Channel content
