How to Update the Target Audience for a Knowledge Channel

Updating the target audience of a Knowledge Channel ensures that the right users have access to the content, improving relevance and engagement.

To update the target audience in your Knowledge Channel:

  1. Navigate to the Knowledge app from the left-hand side navigation bar

  1. Navigate to the “Knowledge channels” tab

  2. Open the Knowledge Channel where you want to update the audience

  3. Click on the Gear iconGear icon.png in the top right corner of the page

A Knowledge Channel settings sidebar will open.
 
6. Click “Edit” in the top right corner of the sidebar
7. Click anywhere in the “Target Audience” field

A list of options will be displayed in the dropdown.
8. Select one or more users or user groups by selecting the names from the drop down
9. Click “Done” in the top right corner of the sidebar

Your target audience will be automatically updated, and the added users will be able to see the content of your Knowledge Channel in the Knowledge app.

To remove users from the target audience of your Knowledge Channel: 

  1. Click the “X” next to the user or user group(s) you want to remove

Your target audience will be automatically updated, and the added users will be able to see the content of your Knowledge Channel in the Knowledge app.

 

Insider Tips: 

  • Only internal experts with special platform permissions can create and edit Knowledge Channels

  • Only Knowledge Zones can be added to a Knowledge Channel – if you want to add additional types of content, create an Expert Channel
  • Your target audience will be able to access this channel via the Knowledge app and will not be able to remove it
