How to Add Commercials and PO to a Research Project

Adding commercials and the purchase order to a project informs all parties about relevant financials and provides transparency in the project.

To add commercials and purchase order(s) to a project: 

  1. Go to your Project Inbox – either by clicking on the link in the proposal request email you received or via the Conduct Research navigation within the platform 
  2. Click on the name of the project where you want to review the proposal request 

You will be taken to the project. 

  1. Move to the Supplier / Agency tab 
  2. Scroll to the “Fill Commercials” section 
  3. Click on the Plus Sign Icon in the section header 

A new window will pop up prompting you to enter key commercial information. 

  1. Enter a purchase order number 
  2. Select a year from the dropdown 
  3. Choose a funding source from the dropdown 
  4. Select a funding type 
  5. Select a currency 
  6. Enter the total amount for the commercial 
  7. Click the “Done” button 

The PO will be immediately visible and saved in the project.  

Click on the Three Dot Icon to the left of the PO# to edit or delete an entry.
