How to Request Approval in a Research Project

Requesting approval for your project helps you to confirm that you have successfully planned, outlined, and documented your project plans and progress.

To request approval:

  1. Go to your project
  2. Navigate to the tab where you want approval
  3. Click on the “Approvals” button in the top right corner of the project view

Your approval panel will appear on the left side of your screen.

  1. Go to the section you want approved
  2. Click on the Plus Sign Icon  to display a dropdown of approvers
  3. Select the approver(s) you want to add
  4. Click on “Request”

A new window will pop up.

  1. Add anyone who should be cc’d about the request
  2. Update the subject and message, if desired
  3. Click on the “Confirm” button

Your approval will be automatically requested, and the approver will receive a notification of your request.

Insider Tips:

  • Requesting approval for your research brief is only possible if your platform is configured for research management
  • You can only request approval if you are a Team/Research Lead
  • Click on the “Approval” button again to hide the approval panel
  • You will be notified if your approval requested has been approved or rejected
