How to Publish a Captured Project

Publishing your captured project lets you share your findings with your colleagues by adding the project to your platform’s Search. 

To publish your project:

1. Go to your project
2. Make sure all the essential information is filled out
3. Click the “Publish” button in the top right corner of your project screen

A new window will pop up.

4. Give your project a description
5. Click the “Next” button in the bottom right corner of the window
6. Choose who you want to publish your project to
7. Click the "Publish” button in the bottom right corner of the window

A new window will pop up.

8. Add or edit the project description, if needed  
9. Click “Next” in the bottom right corner of the window

The next screen will ask you to choose who will be able to view your project – this is where you define permissions for your project.

10. Choose “Everyone” if you want your entire user community to be able to see your research
11. Select “Specific Promotor Group” if you want an internal expert to promote your content on the homepage of your platform
12. Choose “Specific Viewers” if you want to publish your project to a specific audience
13. Click on “Next” in the bottom right corner of the window

On the next screen, you will select the viewers and promoters (if applicable) from a dropdown.  

14. Select your audience from the dropdown – you can select one or more individual users, or you can choose a group
15. Click on “Publish” in the bottom right corner of the window once you have selected your audience.

Another window will pop up prompting you to share your research with other users.

16. Enter a message, if desired
17. Select the users to notify about your published research
18. Click “Share”

Your project will be published to your selected community, and you will be able to view it in Search as well as in your Project Inbox.

Alternatively, you can copy the link to share via another communication channel, e.g. Slack or Teams.

Insider Tips: 

• If you update your project after publishing, be sure to republish so your updates will be visible to your audience
• Only users with access to your platform will be able to access content using the shared link
