How to Add a Subsection to a Reporting Channel

Adding a subsection to a Reporting Channel helps you to curate reporting data and allows you to further categorize and sort channel content. 

This article is for Advanced Insights Users.

To add a subsection to a Reporting Channel: 

  1. Go to your Distribute Reports Inbox
  2. Move to the Reporting Channels tab
  3. Find and select the Reporting Channel where you want to add the subsection(s)

The channel editor will open.

  1. Find the section with the reports you want to add the subsection(s)
  2. Click on the Gear Icon in the top right corner of the section
  3. Select “Add Subsection”

A new window will pop up where you can give the subsection a title, upload a thumbnail image, and give the subsection a description.

  1. Give the section a descriptive title
  2. Click on the gray drop zone to upload a thumbnail image
  3. Add a clear and concise description
  4. Click the “Done” button in the top right corner of the window

The subsection will be automatically added, and you will be able to immediately add content.

Insider Tips: 

  • Subsection content must be the same type of content – either a report or a widget – as the parent section
  • Only internal experts with special platform permissions can edit Reporting Channels
  • You can only edit Reporting Channels if your platform has been configured to include the Reporting module
