How to Create a Reporting Channel

Creating a Reporting Channel helps your user community access key insights and information by creating a dedicated space to post and share targeted content about a specific topic or theme.

To Create a Reporting Channel: 

  1. Go to your Distribute Reports Inbox
  2. Navigate to the “Reporting Channels” tab
  3. Click on the Plus Sign Icon in the top right corner of the inbox

A new window will pop up where you can name, describe, and define a target audience for your Reporting Channel.

  1. Give your Reporting Channel a descriptive title
  2. Enter a clear and concise description of the expected topic, theme, or type of content
  3. Select users or a user group from the “Members” dropdown to define your target audience
  4. Click on the “Done” button in the top right corner of the window

Your Reporting Channel will be created and will be ready for you to add reports. You can also start to add team members, update the channel settings, and add new sections and content.

Insider Tips: 

  • Only internal experts with special platform permissions can add and edit Reporting Channels
  • Only Reports can be added to a Reporting Channel – if you want to add additional types of content, create an Expert Channel
