How to Create an Expert News Post

Creating and posting Expert News Posts lets you display static announcements to ensure your user community never misses important corporate, brand, or system announcements. 

This article is for Advanced Insights Users.

To create and publish an Expert News Post: 

  1. Navigate to the Activities  section of your platform
  2. Select “Announce on Home”
  3. Go to the Announcements tab
  4. Click on the Plus Sign Icon
  5.  Select “Add News Post”

 

  1. Give your post a descriptive title
  2. Add date
  3. Input the text and images for your news post
  4. Select a source from the “External Source” dropdown menu or add a new source
  5. Choose the feed or channel where you want to add your post
  6. If you are publishing to a specific audience, click “Add More Details”

 

  1. Add a country, brand, or group
  2. Click “Done” in the top right corner of the window

Your Expert News Post will be automatically published to your user community’s homepage

Insider Tips: 

  • Only internal experts with special platform permissions can create, edit, and publish Expert New Posts
  • You can create a maximum of five expert slides for an announcement carousel or four thumbnails for the announcement spotlight
  • Expert News Posts are pinned to user homepages and cannot be turned off or hidden via homepage customization
