How to Use the Project Inbox

Your Project Inbox is a central space where you can easily search, filter, and view your captured and managed projects. You can use your inbox to analyze your resources and inspire new ideas. The columns of your inbox can be ordered to match your preferences.

Begin by navigating to your inbox by clicking “Research” in the left-hand navigation bar.

 

To search your Project Inbox: 

  1. Click on the Search icon a11.png in the top right corner of your inbox

  2. Type in a term

  3. Press Enter

Your search term will be automatically applied to your inbox’s content, and you will only see results relevant to your search.

 

To filter your Project Inbox: 

  1. Click on the Filter icon a1.png in the top right corner of your inbox

The filters will appear on the left side of your inbox.

  1. Choose the filter you want to apply and click on the Downward Arrow icon a2.png to display the filter values

  2. Select the checkbox next to the value you want to use as a filter

Your filters are automatically applied, and your relevant results will be shown.

Select “Clear All” in your filter panel to remove all your filters.  

To remove a single filter, click the “X” on the filter chip at the top of your inbox or select “Clear” next to the filter title in the filter panel.

 

To sort your Project Inbox: 

  1. Click on the title of a needed column

An arrow next to the column title will let you know if your values are sorted in ascending or descending order.

 

To export content from your Project Inbox: 

  1. Click on the Three-Dot icon e2.png in the top right corner of your inbox

  2. Choose an export

Your export will automatically download as an Excel file. You will also receive a notification once the export is complete.

 

To start a new project from your Project Inbox: 

  1. Click on the Plus Sign icon f2.png in the top right corner of your inbox

  2. Select the type of project you want to start

A new window will open and prompt you to give your project a title and select a specific project type. Fill out the information and click “Create” in the top right corner of the window. Your project will automatically generate, and you will be able to view and access it from your inbox.

 

To hide or display columns in your Project Inbox: 

  1. Click on the Gear icon d2.png in the top right corner of your inbox

  2. Use the toggle next to each column name to hide or show columns. A green toggle indicates the column is active, while a gray toggle means it is hidden

  3. Click anywhere on your screen to stop editing your columns  

Your view will automatically update so you only see your selected columns.

 

To reorder your Project Inbox columns: 

  1. Click on the Gear icon d2.png in the top right corner of your inbox

  2. Click and hold the Reorder icon a4.png to the left of the column title

  3. Drag and drop the columns to your preferred order  

  4. Click anywhere to stop editing your columns

The order of your columns will automatically update according to your preferences.

 

Insider Tips:

  • Filter chips with your selected filters will appear at the top of your inbox

  • Your filters will be applied to your export
