How to Edit a Knowledge Zone Header

Editing the header of your Knowledge Zone lets you define a unique or branded visual identity for your content and helps your Knowledge Zone to stand out to your user community.

To adjust the fixed position of your header:

1. Open a new or existing Knowledge Zone

2. Click the “Edit” button in the top-right corner of the view

3. Click the Edit iconEdit icon.png inside the header area

The “Header Settings” panel will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

4. Find the “Header Image“ section

5. Find the header position grid straight under the field for uploading image for the header

6. Choose the fixed position for the header image

The position of the image will automatically adjust.

7. Click the Edit iconEdit icon.png inside the header or the X icon in the “Header Settings” to close the editing panel

How to change the background color for your header:

1. Open a new or existing Knowledge Zone

2. Click the “Edit” button in the top-right corner

3. Click the Edit icon Edit icon.pnginside the header area

The “Header Settings” panel will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

4. Find the “Header Image“ section

5. Do not upload the header image

6. Scroll to the “Background color“ sub-section

7. Click on the white square

A window for choosing the color will open

8. Choose the color you want

9. Click anywhere outside the small window

Alternatively, you can type in the color code.

If now image is uploaded, the chosen color will not be set as a header. Delete the header image first.

Click on the X icon within the color field to delete the chosen color.

To adjust the size of your header:

1. Open a new or existing Knowledge Zone

2. Click the Edit iconEdit icon.pnginside the header area

The “Header Settings” panel will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

3. Scroll to the “Header Size“ section

4. Choose a size for the header – small, medium, or none

The header size will automatically adjust.

5. Click the Edit iconEdit icon.pnginside the header or the X icon in the “Header Settings” to close the editing panel

To adjust the theme of your header: 

1. Open a new or existing Knowledge Zone

2. Click the Edit iconEdit icon.png inside the header area

The “Header Settings” panel will appear on the right-hand side of the screen.

3. Scroll to the “Theme“ section

4. Select the theme – light, dark, or custom

5. If you select “Custom,” scroll down to choose a personalized color for the text, the background text, and the selection button.

The header theme will automatically adjust.

6. Click the Edit iconEdit icon.pnginside the header or the X icon in the “Header Settings” to close the editing panel

 

Insider Tip:

  • Select a simple header so that the name of your Knowledge Zone or page stands out

  • Zoom out in your browser if you cannot see the different fields in the “Header Settings” panel
