How to Share Content from Search

Sharing content in Search helps you and your colleagues to boost awareness of relevant content, enable efficient collaboration, save time and effort, and inject a social aspect into your work.

To share content from Search

  1. Go to Search

  2. Choose the search result you want to share

  3. Click on the Share Icon 4.png at the top right corner of the content card

After clicking on the Share icon, a new window will pop up. You will have two options for sharing.

Option 1 - Share directly within the platform:

  1. Select one or more users, user groups, or email addresses from the dropdown list or type the name of the user

  2. Enter a personalized message, if desired

  3. Click the "Share" button at the top right corner of the window

Your colleague(s) will receive an automatic notification that content has been shared with them and the content will be saved in their "Shared with Me" Notebook collection.

Option 2 - Use an alternative communication channel:

  1. Click on "Copy Link" to copy the system-generated link to your clipboard

  2. Paste the link to share it via another medium, e.g. Teams or email

 

Insider Tip: 

  • Sharing is not just for Search results – wherever you see the Share Icon 4.png in the system, you can share that content with your colleagues

  • The system-generated link will only be usable by the users who have access to the platform
