How to Create a New News Feed

Creating a new News Feed enables you to organize and deliver a focused source of information on a specific topic to your target audience.

To create a new shareable News Feed:

  1. Go to the News app from the left-hand side navigation bar

  2. Switch to the Curate view at the top of the page

  1. Navigate to the Feeds tab

  2. Click on the Plus Sign3.png icon in the top right corner of the inbox

  3. Click “Add Feed“

A new window will pop up where you can name your feed, provide a description, and choose a feed type.

  1. Give your feed a descriptive title

  2. Provide a clear and concise description of the expected focus of the feed

  3. Choose a Manual feed if you want to manually add content, or choose an Internal feed to have sources dynamically updated with the existing content

 

To add a new Internal feed:

  1. Click “Next“ in the down right corner of the window

In the next screen view, you will be able to define the parameters for the items for your Feed.

  1. Enter a search query or choose at least one provider

  1. Click on the Language dropdown list on the right side of the search bar to adjust the language of the content, if needed

  1. Click “Feed Content” to choose what type of content you want to go into your Feed

You can view the results that match your filter setup.

  1. Click “Create“ in the down right corner of the window once you are happy with the filter setup

Your Feed will create automatically and will appear in the inbox.

 

To add a new Manual feed:

  1. Click “Create“ in the down right corner of the window

Insider Tips: 

  • Only internal experts with special platform permissions can add Feeds to Expert-Curated News Channels

  • Manual feeds will remain empty until you create the first News Post or add content

  • Retention period for Internal feeds is 90 days

  • Unless you select Auto-publish, the feed will remain empty

  • You can enable Auto-publish mode for Internal feeds from the feed view, allowing content to be published without the need for review
